Description
Goethe Prize of the City of Frankfurt (Goethe-Preis der Stadt Frankfurt am Main) is an award presented by the City of Frankfurt in commemoration of Goethe, established in 1927. Recipients include not only writers but also individuals from diverse fields such as theater, art, philosophy, and science. Until 1955, it was awarded approximately annually, and thereafter every three years in principle. The prize money is €50,000, and a certificate written on parchment is presented.
