Description

The Preis der Leipziger Buchmesse (Leipzig Book Fair Prize), established in 2005, is awarded annually during the Leipzig Book Fair to outstanding new publications in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, and translation. €20,000 is awarded to the winner in each category, and it is regarded as one of the most important literary prizes in Germany. Winners are selected by a selection committee, and the winning works are introduced at the fair.
